What is a season?
Season refers to the period of the year during which growing conditions for cultivated crop(s) are most favourable. For example:
- From pruning as starting date up until harvesting as end date.
- From planting seeds as starting date up until harvesting as end date.
- Your organisation’s or farm’s financial year start and end dates.
Add a new season
After successfully creating your farm(s), you will be able to add your season. When creating Instructions, you will be prompted to select the Season to which the instruction applies. On-Track will group all your instructions within the selected season.
- Click on “Add Season” in the top navigation bar
- Fill in your season name: e.g. 2023-2024_Citrus
- Choose the start date and end date of the season
- Click on “Save” to create your season
Copy crop information over from a previous season to a new season
- Click on “Add Season” in the top navigation bar
- Fill in your season name: e.g. 2023-2024_Citrus
- Choose the start date and end date of the season
- Click on the tick box: “Copy crop information from a previous season to this season”
- Choose from the “Season” dropdown menu the season you wish to copy from
- Click on “Save” to create your season
- Take note: You need to have historical seasons to be able to have this functionality.
- Take note: Previous expected harvest dates are not pre-populated, please fill in the new expected harvested dates for each field in the “Fields” section
